The author, Erica Ma, has a good concept for a poetry book. Erica begins by encouraging people to dive in anywhere, and not having page numbers, a content page, or an index is a great idea to encourage people to do just that. Very clever – I describe it as having its own unique hook.
It’s not a long book, but there are several examples that will cause the reader to reflect on modern life. Themes include surviving adulthood, friendship, social media and self-care. Illustrations and photographs are included to complement the mood.
