Self-published authors
The Book Hook Online welcomes the opportunity to display books from self-published (indie) authors using Amazon KDP. Interested indie authors can email us at: enquiries@thebookhook.online, or use the contact form.
The facility is free to self-published authors.
When providing details of the book, send the URL to the book on your in the format: <Amazon local site>/dp/<Book ASIN>, so for example: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0FLFBGKH7.
If you detail the title and ASIN, we can also get the link for you.
What we do
We create a universal Amazon link from the ASIN. This will enable the book to be located in local Amazon stores based on the shoppers location. For example, a shopper in Germany have access to the book on the German Amazon site. We will place the book in a category on the Book Categories page and feature it on the New Releases pages for at least one month. The Author Pages could contain links to an authors Amazon Author page, or have a dedicated custom entry.
The aspiration of The Book Hook Online is to help indie authors gain sales organically, and is a complementary service.
The Book Hook Online may gain a commission from Amazon for any sale that is a result of discovery on the site.
In addition, blog posts will be added to the site providing updates, sharing experiences and knowledge across the indie author community. If you would like to share any experiences or have any ideas for content then please get in touch.
The site may also earn commissions from the Affiliate Products page that includes a selection of products by category for shoppers to explore, which will help fund the site and keep it free for indie authors to list their works.
Developments
In August 2025, we created are own YouTube and TikTok channels to help with promotional work and in September 2025, The Book Hook Online launched it’s own shop on Etsy.
In future we may also add entries from Apple Books to help those who self-publish using Apple’s publishing portal.
Developing the site has been an interesting experience and their have been pit falls along the way but hopefully the best is yet to come.
I wish users luck in finding unique books from self-published authors and more that meet their needs. I am looking forward to the site becoming a valuable resource for self-published authors, readers and shoppers so that authors can grow their sales.
